Yesterday, members of the Net Media Planet team descended upon London’s ExCeL centre for the first a4u Expo. Featuring talks and panels from a variety of experts in the affiliate field, it was a real success and allowed a great environment for networking and learning.

Net Media Planet’s Managing Director Sri Sharma took part in the panel called ‘Meet the Super Affiliates’. The panel also featured UK Offer Media Limited’s Kieron Donoghue, eConversions’ Duncan Jennings and Kristopher Jones from pepperjam. It was definitely interesting hearing the four speakers’ different approaches to the questions – which included topic such as the importance of technology compared to strategy, the value of a domain name and tips for the Christmas season. I’m sure that those present will agree with me that is was an interesting and valuable session, which gave a good insight into the lives and business philosophies of the four industry leaders.

Other highlights of the first day included ‘Our Digital Landscape’ which featured facts and figures that highlight the growth this industry has had in recent years, ‘Let’s Get Social’ about the use of social networks in affiliate marketing and ‘Extreme SEO’. The exhibition room had stands from many leading affiliates, networks, merchant and agencies and was a good opportunity to meet new people and drum up some business. It was a really good day and I’m certain the second day will be also excellent. Big thanks to Matthew Wood, the a4u team and everyone involved.
Net Media Planet enjoying the A4U Awards
The day didn’t end there though as the evening brought with it the a4u Awards. Net Media Planet was in the Best International Publisher category and we are proud to say we were awarded ‘Highly Commended’. Thanks for everyone who voted for us! The awards party was jolly good fun, and the fish and chips went down really well 🙂
Please leave comments and let us know your views of the a4u expo.
