Round Up Of The Year

Posted by Tom Snow – Online Content Editor on behalf of Net Media Planet

2007 has been a great year for Net Media Planet. As this year draws to a close we thought it would be good to have a quick look back at the opportunities that we have encountered since last January.

One of the major changes that happened to the company is the move in April from our old base to our much larger and grander offices in London’s West End. The new office brought with it a fresh sense of excitement for the Net Media Planet team, as we could see how far we had come in such a short period of time.

The Net Media Planet staff has doubled in number since the start of the year, with new additions to the account management, finance, creative, content and technical teams. As such we were able to take on bigger challenges and increase our output to new levels. The technical team rolled out 15 product releases to our performance search technology platform, the publishing team unveiled countless new sites and the account management team developed valuable relationships with our clients and partners.

Net Media Planet were present at many fantastic Search Marketing events, including February’s Affiliate Summit West Coast in Las Vegas and June’s Affiliate Summit East Coast in Miami. There were also the large industry gatherings closer to home in London including the Commission Junction Roundtable, A4U Expo, Affiliate Summit London, and the TradeDoubler Summit 2007. Net Media Planet’s Managing Director, Sri Sharma, was a speaker in the last three events and featured on a panel with MSN and Yahoo which helped cement Net Media Planet as a recognisable leader in Paid Search Marketing, as well as having a chance to meet some of the industry’s most influential and respected people.

One of the year’s highlights was being awarded the Highly Commended prize for Best International Publisher 2007 at the A4U Awards. It is an honour to be recognised in such a way and once again we thank everyone for voting for us.

Search marketing as a whole went through some dramatic and exciting changes in 2007, including the long awaited launch of Yahoo’s Panama and the ever-evolving Quality Score keeping everyone on their toes. It is fair to say 2007 saw paid search and online marketing get smarter and even more data and metrics driven which is helping the industry move towards the world of paid-on-performance CPA – a world we love! As such we are really looking forward to 2008!

It has been a fantastic year. Thank you to everyone we have worked with and helped Net Media Planet have such a successful 12 months.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year !

Net Media Planet’s Christmas Murder Mystery Party

Posted by Tom – Online Content Editor

Last weekend the Net Media Planet team had their staff Christmas celebration at the Bridgewood Manor hotel in Chatham, Kent. We had a fantastic meal and took part in a mind-bending murder mystery. Set in the 1920’s, it was about an allegedly cursed ring and the mysterious deaths that surrounded it. Luckily, four members of Net Media Planet’s staff managed to work out who the murderer was and the case was closed.

We would like to send out a big thank you to the organisers, staff and the actors that made the night such a fun and special night.
