UK based online watch retailer, Watch Shop, were seeing their brand CPC’s increase by as much as 100% YoY. When factored by hundreds of thousands of clicks it makes a dramatic difference to ROAS.
Worried about their growing expenditure, Watch Shop looked to NMPi’s new Comparison Shopping solution. Comparison Shopping Services (CSS) are independently managed feeds which appear alongside Google Shopping ads at the top of a SERP and within the Shopping tab. Google promises a 20% discount on your CPC’s for these independently managed feeds.
We simultaneously ran CSS alongside their Google Shopping activity in order to effectively compare the results between the two and confirm whether or not CPC’s would reduce.
Running activity through both Google Shopping and CSS does not drive up costs, allowing an advertiser’s most efficient campaign to win the auction. This meant we could appear more times on the SERP, pushing competition off the top results.
We used our award-winning Google Shopping strategy to run our CSS activity. Through a combination of innovative automation, granularization, and the latest Comparison Shopping Technology, we are able to offer a complete Shopping service.
In this testing phase, we saw a decrease in CPCs of 32%, whilst maintaining CTR.
Due to the excellent campaign performance, Watch Shop requested that we move all of their UK based activity over to our CSS solution.
